Disney Star Hannah Montana Sues B-52’s Over Copyright Infringement

Disneyworld- Attorneys for famed Disney Star Milo Cyrus delivered papers to the surviving members of the B-52’s today. This latest salvo in the ongoing spat over copyright infringement brings each of the parties one step closer to court and all involved are hopeful that this portends for a speedy resolution. Industry insiders, however, warn that the process is likely to be anything but quick. ”This is going to take a long time to resolve. Cyrus might even be old enough to vote before its all over with,” former child star turned entertainment lawyer Elliot Spitzer informed The Vitamin Press.

Cyrus, who is the daughter of country music legend Travis Tritt and star of The Disney Channel’s Original Series Hannibal Monterrible, does not share Spitzer’s assessment. “Voting eew, like I’m ever gonna do that.”

Tritt took a far more steadied approach “However long it takes it takes. You see this is about much more than getting money from those there low down dirty rotten varmint rat scoundrels trying to make a quick buck by ripping off my daughter’s music. This is about a daddy doing everything he can to protect his young from the dangers of the world. They done woke up papa bear now, and I won’t let anything bad happen to her,” Tritt then recalled the series of events which launched this saga. ”I’d let Milo go off with Axle Rose and R. Kelly to a party at The Viper Room. Well then I gets a call around two o’clock in the morning and Milo was real freaked out like the time that she was hanging out with Andy Dick and he was trying to snort cocaine out of her armpit. Turns out it was much worse than that. It seems she was on the dance floor when amidst all the smoke and the jello shots she heard what she thought was her song “Fly on the Wall” only it wasn’t. As it turns out the song was called “Rock Lobster” and it was a note for note rip off of some of her best work.” The next day a cease and desist letter was issued to Fred Savage and Uri Gellar of the The B-52’s. They promptly ignored the order and continued to play the song on their world tour of YMCA’s throughout Detroit.

The bands publicist Start Murdoch explained the group’s hesitance to comply. “This all seems absolutely ridiculous. These guys have been playing that song since 1979. Cyrus wasn’t even born then. I tell ya, it should be us thats suing them.”. When pressed as to why they were not pursuing litigation Murdoch answered. “Its the darnedest thing, there is a little known clause in the US Code granting Disney and all her employees sovereign immunity against lawsuits. Apparently its a thank you from Uncle Sam for them forgoing federal election funds even though Micky Mouse consistently polls high enough as a write in candidate to qualify for them.”

Travis Tritt is not her father. Billy Ray Cyrus is Miley Cyrus’s father. Wow.

Umm this is a story that claimed Elliot Spitzer is a former child star turned entertainment lawyer, Fred Savage is a member of the B-52′s and that Micky Mouse qualifies for federal aid when it comes to running for elective office because he has been so successful as a write in candidate (not to mention that it is filed under the category of “Not Really the News”). . . and the only thing that struck you odd about it was that Travis Tritt was stated to be Miley Cyrus’s father? Wow.

I see you guys are up to the shenanigans again. Seems like I remember you printing this story before. It was a lie then and it is a lie now. Shame on you! Don’t you guys know that you should not tell these false stories and lies! I have already called Al Gore to report that you ruined his marriage with your lies. I have also called Dave Matthew and Judith Light. They told me that they are going to file a complaint with the FCC! You guys are the worst. I am never ever coming her again! I mean it! I AM FOR REAL!!!

Thank you for printing this very important story. I hope those B-FiftyBastards don’t get away with stealing the music from Miley Cyrus. She has worked so hard and she is so talented. It just gets me so angry. BTW if you get so angry perhaps you should try some Relacore. Research has shown there’s a link between stress, tension, and excess belly fat – high levels of cortisol – a nasty little stress hormone – can cause pound after pound of excess body fat to accumulate around your waist and tummy – a health-threatening, figure-destroying condition affecting an estimated 47 million Americans, mostly women. That’s Relacore. Find it at all quality drug and food stores!
