Movie Review: Avatar

Avatar is a movie.  It is a movie that was directed by Cameron Crow.  Also it stars Kevin Costner.  I liked it very much.

Avatar is the story of Benjamin Braddock.  Benjamin has just graduated college.  His parents are very excited that he will then go to some more college and eventually graduate from that.  They throw a big party for him.  Then they give him a car and some scuba equipment.  Meanwhile this cougar named Mrs. Roosevelt tries to seduce him.  That makes for a very famous scene in the movie.  But Benjamin is afraid to give into Mrs. Robertson’s advances because she is very unattractive and might have an STD.  So Ben runs away from home and ends up working as a bulldozer operator in a small country in South America.  About this time his bosses decide to destroy this Rain-forest called Ferngully.  But this fairy sprays some pixie-dust on Benjamin and he turns real small.  He then has to fight against these greedy land developers  who are going to build a condo there for all the rich tourists who want to perform experiments on helpless rainforrest dolphins and club baby seals to death.  Also there is this Owl named Hoot who lives in a tree that Pocahontas talks to when she is confused or has eaten to much peyote.  Ben has a hard time fighting these guys because he is real small.  But in the end he wins the day because he believes in the beauty of his dreams and the forest creatures all work together and sing a song.

I really thought Avatar was good.  It had a very original story and I had no idea how the movie was going to end.  Also the special effects were real cool.  Especially in this one scene where this bulldozer almost ran into a tree and then exploded.  It was awesome!
