Rather Racist
Once upon a time Dan Rather suggested that a person could constantly lie and still be considered honest . Ostensibly this was a defense of former President Bill Jeff Clinton and his propensity towards mendacity but -let’s face it- we all knew that he was really serving as chief apologist for his 40 (or was it 50?) year career of misleading the American people with half-truths, straw-men, editing, omissions, editorializing the news, October surprises and forged documents.
So what The Vitamin Press would now like to know is how many derogatory racial stereotypes must a sad old fake journalist propagate before he, in fact, becomes a racist? Of course that is a rhetorical question. Rather would never have any trouble buying the St. Louis Rams . . . not even when his act of racism was committed on national television and not just an allegation based on (and in true Dan Rather style reported as true without the need for further sourcing or vetting) a Wikipedia entry.
Note: Dan Rather may be an old, befuddled, former propagandist but I don’t think he is a racist. But understand this . . . employing a wee bit of hyperbole when pointing out the delicious hypocrisy of our state media opinion makers is no vice.
